Terms of Service
DentaShop · Last updated 29 October 2026
These terms govern your use of the DentaShop app. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. What DentaShop is
DentaShop is a marketplace. We connect dental professionals with independent dental supply shops. We are not the seller of the products listed. Each order is a contract between you and the shop you buy from. The shop is responsible for its products, their description, pricing, quality, legality and fulfilment.
2. Who can use it
Accounts are intended for dental professionals and for dental supply businesses operating in Lebanon or Syria. You must be at least 18. Shop accounts and delivery accounts are provisioned and verified by us, and we may decline or withdraw verification at our discretion.
3. Your account
- Provide accurate details and keep them up to date.
- Your phone number is your login identifier. Keep your password confidential — you are responsible for activity under your account.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
- One account per person or business.
4. Orders and payment
- All orders are cash on delivery. You pay the courier when your order arrives. DentaShop never takes card or bank details.
- Prices are shown in US dollars and are set by the shop. A shop may offer lower unit prices at higher quantities.
- One cart, one parcel. Your cart can hold products from several shops in your country. At checkout it becomes one order for each shop, and the courier brings them to you together, as one parcel, for one delivery fee.
- Delivery fee. Delivery is free for you when your cart reaches the free-delivery amount shown in the app. In Syria, delivery to the rif or to another city may still carry an extra, which checkout shows. Below that amount you pay the delivery fee. Checkout shows the most you can be charged. The final fee is set when a courier company takes your parcel and confirms your area; it is never more than the amount shown, and if it is lower you are told. You pay it to the courier on delivery, with the order total.
- When it arrives. Couriers collect from shops at fixed pickup times. Before you order, the app shows when your parcel will be collected and when it should reach you. You can ask for delivery as soon as possible or on a particular day, and give the hours someone can receive it at your clinic. A shop that is closed when you order does not stop you: it prepares your order when it opens.
- Placing an order is an offer to buy. Each shop's part is confirmed when that shop accepts it.
- You may cancel your order, or one shop's part of it, until the parcel is on its way to you. A shop may cancel its part while it is pending or being prepared, for example if an item is out of stock, and must give a reason.
- A shop that is late. If a shop's part is not ready at its pickup time, your whole parcel waits for the next pickup, once, and you are told. If that part is still not ready, it is cancelled and the rest of your parcel is delivered.
- If you refuse a delivery at the door, the order is returned to the shop. Repeated refusals may result in suspension (see section 5).
- You can only buy from shops in your registered country. You may browse the other country's listings, but not order from them.
- Stock counts are maintained by shops and may occasionally be inaccurate.
5. Delivery
Delivery is carried out by independent courier companies and their drivers. Once a courier takes your parcel you are shown the driver's name and phone number so you can coordinate the hand-over, and the driver receives your delivery name, phone number, address, any location pin you attached, and the day and receiving hours you asked for. A delivery company may receive these details in its own system, connected to DentaShop, rather than only in the DentaShop app. Please make sure someone can receive the order at the address you gave, within the hours you gave, and pay the amount due. Repeatedly refusing accepted deliveries may result in suspension.
6. If you are a shop
- List only products you are legally permitted to sell, with accurate descriptions, photos, prices and stock.
- Keep stock levels current, and accept or cancel orders promptly.
- You are responsible for any warranty, refund or regulatory obligation attaching to what you sell.
- Only upload images you have the right to use.
- Pickup times. Every order shows a ready-by time: the start of its pickup. Accept the order and have your part packed and ready by then. In Lebanon the courier collects it from your shop. In Syria you bring it to the courier company's drop-off point shown in the app. If your part is not ready in time, the buyer's whole parcel waits for the next pickup, once. If it is still not ready then, your part is cancelled with the reason "not ready in time", its stock is restored, and no fee is charged. In Syria, a part you marked ready that never reaches the drop-off point is cancelled in the same way. We keep a record of each shop's late and missing parts.
- Platform fee. DentaShop charges a platform fee of 2% of the order value, with a minimum of US$0.50, on every delivered order. No fee is charged on cancelled or returned orders. The fee is fixed on each order when a courier company takes the parcel; a change to the rate never applies to orders already taken. We will give at least 30 days' notice of any change to the rate or minimum.
- Delivery fee. When the buyer's cart reaches the free-delivery amount, the shops in the parcel pay its delivery fee, split by each shop's share of the cart value. In Syria, shops pay at most the same-city price and the buyer pays any extra for the rif or another city. When the cart is below the free-delivery amount, the buyer pays the delivery fee and you pay only the platform fee.
- Launch support. For a period we announce in the app, we may give part of the platform fee back to the shops of a country, per order and never more than that order's delivery share. The courier adds it to your payout.
- Your payout. Within 2 days of delivery, the delivery company pays you, in cash, your part's value minus your delivery share and the platform fee, plus any launch support. The app shows these amounts before you accept the order, and the final ones once the delivery fee is set. You confirm in the app when you have received the money.
- Handing over and being paid. You hand the goods to the courier, at your shop or, in Syria, at the drop-off point, before you are paid. From that moment the delivery company is responsible for them, and for paying you, until you confirm you have received the money (see section 6a). If you are not paid within 2 days of delivery, the app tells you and the delivery company; contact us if it is not resolved.
- Returned orders. If a buyer refuses delivery, the courier returns the goods to you. You have not been paid for that order, so nothing is refunded, and no fee is charged.
- Shop location and hours. You may set your shop's location pin and opening hours. Your street address, phone number and pin are shown to drivers (to collect orders and to judge distance), not to buyers; buyers see your shop's name, city, description, products and opening hours. Keep all of them accurate.
- No deals around the platform. An order that starts on DentaShop is completed through DentaShop. You may not ask a buyer who found you through DentaShop to cancel and buy from you directly in order to avoid the platform fee. Doing so is a breach of these terms and may result in suspension of your shop.
- No contact details in your listings. Do not put a phone number, WhatsApp or other messaging handle, email address, social media account, website or street address in your shop name, description, product names, descriptions or photos, or anywhere else buyers can see in the app. We may remove such details, and repeated breaches may result in suspension of your shop.
- Brands. Give every product its true brand, chosen from the brand list in the app, or "Unbranded / Generic" if it has none. If a brand is missing from the list, ask us to add it.
- Brand protection. A shop that owns a brand, or is its exclusive
agent in its country, may ask us to protect it, with proof: a trademark registration
in the shop's name, or a letter from the manufacturer naming the shop its exclusive
distributor for that country. If we approve, then until the end date we set:
- only that shop may sell the brand on DentaShop in that country, and its products show "Official distributor";
- every other shop's product in that country that carries the brand, or names it in the product name or description, is removed at the moment of approval, permanently and without compensation (a product that already has orders is hidden instead, so that order history stays intact);
- the app refuses any new product from another shop in that country that carries or names the brand.
- Hiding a protected brand. Selling a protected brand under another name — a different or "Unbranded" brand, or a name and description that leave it out while the product or its photos show it — is a breach of these terms. Anyone can report a listing in the app. If we confirm it, the product is removed and your shop receives a warning; a second confirmed breach suspends your shop.
- Answering questions. Dentists can ask about your products in the app (see section 7). Answer accurately. Your answers are public on the product page.
- The app asks you to accept these terms, including the platform fee, before you can use a shop account, and again whenever they change (see section 14).
6a. If you are a delivery company or driver
- Delivery accounts are provisioned by us for the company; the company manages its own driver accounts and is responsible for its drivers' conduct.
- Prices and drop-off points. Each company sets its own delivery prices in the app: a flat fee, a price per km, distance bands, or prices by area. In Syria it also sets the drop-off points where shops bring parcels. A company without prices, or in Syria without a drop-off point, is not offered parcels.
- Runs. At each pickup time the parcels of one city form a run, and a company takes the whole run. The fee of each parcel follows that company's prices. The courier confirms the area of each drop-off, and the buyer is never charged more than the amount shown at checkout. Deliver within the receiving hours the buyer gave.
- At delivery the driver collects from the buyer the order value plus the buyer's part of the delivery fee. Within 2 days of delivery the company pays each shop its part's value minus its delivery share and the platform fee, plus any launch support, and marks it paid; the shop confirms it received the money. The delivery fee, the buyer's part and the shops' shares, belongs to the courier. The platform fee is held for DentaShop.
- A refused parcel. If the buyer refuses the parcel at the door, no delivery fee is due from anyone for it: not from the buyer and not from the shops. The courier returns each shop's goods to that shop.
- The company remits the platform fees it holds, minus the launch support it paid to shops, on a weekly statement issued every Saturday for the week just ended and due the following Wednesday.
- The driver's name and phone number are shown to the shop and the buyer of each order they take.
- While the "Available" list is open, the app may use the driver's current position to sort orders by distance. The position is used for that request only and is not stored or tracked.
- A company that takes a run is responsible for completing it; parcels may be reassigned only by the company manager.
- Cash held by drivers. The delivery company is responsible for all cash its drivers collect, including the platform fees held for DentaShop and the money owed to shops, from the moment it is collected until it is paid over. A loss of cash or goods while an order is with a driver is the company's to bear, not the shop's or DentaShop's.
- Connecting your own system. A delivery company may connect its own system to DentaShop through our API, instead of or as well as using the app. An update sent through the API — accepting an order, collected, delivered, returned, shop paid — has the same effect as the same action in the app, and an order reported as delivered counts as delivered for the platform fee. The company keeps its API key secret and is responsible for everything done with it. Buyer and shop details received through the API may be used only to deliver that order.
- Each delivery company also signs a written agreement with DentaShop. Where that agreement and these terms differ, the agreement applies.
7. Reviews and questions
Reviews must reflect genuine experience. You may post one review per product, and posting again replaces your previous one. Do not post false, abusive, or promotional content, or anyone's personal information. Reviews are public and show your name. We may remove reviews that breach these terms.
Questions about products. A dentist may ask the shop a question about a product. The shop is notified and answers in the app, and the dentist is notified of the answer. Answered questions are public on the product page; the person who asked is shown only as "a dentist", never by name. Questions and answers must be about the product and must not contain a phone number, email address, link, messaging handle or anyone's personal information; the app refuses phone numbers, emails and links. Do not use questions or answers to arrange a sale outside DentaShop. We may hide any question or answer that breaches these terms.
8. Things you must not do
- Use the app for anything unlawful, or to sell counterfeit or prohibited goods.
- Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your professional status.
- Interfere with the app's operation, attempt to access other users' accounts or data, or scrape or bulk-extract listings.
- Place orders you do not intend to receive and pay for.
- Report a listing you know is genuine, or claim a brand you do not hold the rights to, for example to remove a competitor.
9. Availability
We aim to keep DentaShop available and accurate, but we provide it "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may change, suspend or discontinue features.
10. Our responsibility
Because we are a marketplace and not the seller, we are not responsible for the products themselves, for a shop's or courier's acts or omissions, or for disputes between you and a shop. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Subject to that, our liability arising from your use of the app is limited to the value of the order the claim relates to.
11. Disputes about an order
Raise problems with an order by contacting us at [email protected]. We will take it up with the shop and try to help, though we are not party to the sale.
12. Suspension and closing your account
You may delete your account at any time — see how to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently.
13. Privacy
How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and we will notify you in the app of significant changes. Continuing to use DentaShop after a change means you accept the updated terms. Shops and delivery accounts are asked to accept significant changes in the app before they can continue, and we keep a record of which version each account accepted and when. A change to the platform fee is announced at least 30 days in advance, as set out in section 6.
15. Governing law
DentaShop operates in Lebanon and Syria. These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, and the courts of Beirut have jurisdiction over any dispute.
This does not take away rights you have under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country you live in. If you are resident in Syria, you keep any protection Syrian law gives you that cannot be contracted out of, and you may bring a claim in your local courts where that law allows it.
Your contract for the goods themselves is with the shop you buy from, which may be subject to the laws of the country that shop operates in. You can only order from shops in your own registered country, so in practice the sale, the delivery and the cash payment all take place within one country.
